Who is that assclown “Grahame Jones” that they have writing football for that rag? He’s clearly never seen a full match from an intelligent perspective. That foul would have had Adrian Serioux KILLED in a number of European countries.

Jones really should watch an actual game or two and then form an opinion. That tackle was absurd and would have brought red regardless of what was said. If John Obi Mikel did something like that, every pundit in England would nearly faint at the sight.

Wait, he writes for the LA Times? And I agree, that foul was absurd, and I think Beckham’s reaction was great, wish the video showed him shushing the crowd.

Every time I read Grahame Jones, I miss Billy Witz. (No offense, Jen — one of those agree to disagree situations.)
Did everybody see Steve Morrow got fired? Hahahahahahahahaha! Sleazebag.

Grahame Jones is your favorite soccer columnist? That’s just wrong. Get some taste and start reading writers who actually know something about the sport.

I think the Grahame Jones accolade may have been sarcasm, but I’ll wait for your word Jen. What’s up with the further disciplinary action by MLS for Becks’ response rumor? Is it one of the fairy tales that just won’t go away or can that be true? MORE than a yellow card and forget about it? I guess I once saw a player sent off for celebrating and a physio ejected for standing too close to the touchline in the same game, so anything is possible…

Oh, that was DRIPPING sarcasm! Can’t stand the guy. I’ll check in about disciplinary action soon.

Serioux was fined the standard $250 per red card foul and suspended a game. Nothing more. Beckham, rightfully, was not disciplined other than the yellow card.
