In an attempt to cash in on this phenomenal popularity LA Galaxy has ordered Beckham to model his briefs during a game.
“Usually 5 minutes into a game, Beckham will go to the touchline and strip off down to his underpants,” explained a sports writer. “He does this every 15 minutes. People come to see this, not the soccer.”
Attendances at Galaxy home games have since trebled. “When the soccer restarts, most people wander off for a hot dog or a coffee - only returning 15 minutes later,” continued the writer.
