Becks Continues To Impress

Another great performance from Becks, 2 great assists helped Milan win 3-0 against Lazio. Now he just can’t leave! He should listen to Sir Bobby Robson “Beckham has earned a vast fortune. Now he should consider spending a few million to buy himself out of LA Galaxy and keep his World Cup dream alive,”

“David has one last chance on the world stage – playing for England at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa – and he must do everything to satisfy that.

“If it means money coming out of his own pocket to facilitate the move to Milan, then so be it. If he goes back to America, the dream is over for David.”

More news from the Milan camp to fuel this saga, Coach Carlo has decided to include Beckham in the UEFA squad list.

The Lazio game. Not the best first half, but everything started to turn for the better in the 2nd half.

Goal.com gave Beckham 7.5.

A brilliant display by the Englishman, as it undoubtedly was his most impressive performance in Milan colours to date. Two wonderful assists to set up the first two goals, and an all round dominant performance that led his side to victory on the night.

Humble words from David,

“The finish from Pato was better,”

“That’s my job, to put the ball in the right place. Although, the finish was better than the pass.”

“I’m very happy. I’m enjoying myself here and I will be happy to play in the UEFA Cup,”

“I’ve learned some words I can’t say on television,” he laughed. “I’m still learning, I’m trying.”

Galliani aka Uncle Fester is holding onto any lifeline to keep Beckham from going back to L.A Galaxy on March 9th.

“We still have small hopes of keeping Beckham with us until the end of the season,”

“We’ll do everything in our power to make this happen. We have included him in the UEFA Cup list because we think that the tie with Werder Bremen will be crucial and he can give us a hand.”

So now….we wait..Patiently.

This Wednesday Milan will travel to Glasgow for a completely unnecessary friendly game against the Rangers. The players need all the rest they can get, why schedule an uncalled for friendly?! After that they will face Reggina in Serie A on February the 8th. Becks might be rested for the friendly game to keep him fresh.

Forza Milan! & Forza Beckham!

It is not only the money he would owe to the Galaxy but all the sponsorship contracts that he has that predicate he play for the Galaxy. That is what is really expensive. Not only would he have to break the contracts, but he would not get that income any more.

Johonna, I dont think income bothers Becks anymore, quite frankly he looks like a man with only one goal 2010, and he is playing like a man with absolutely nothing to lose, which is even more dangerous. If you want me honest opinion, I say he says screw the cash…he looks more determined than any player I have ever seen.

gian f. of course, feel free to use whatever you like.

johanna, that is true and considering most of his income in LA is coming from endorsements.

a guy like him can afford not to have more money. i dont know if that made sense. i mean he reached so high he can now just relax and start spending + he has posh. and he’ll get a looot of money from endorsements in Europe, dont forget he’s big everywhere. so buy out your contract with LA, adjust/change the endorsements contract in LA, make more advertisement contracts in Italy & Europe. and BAM you got Beckham in Milan. i should be his agent!! i’d do it all in 1 day.

at the end of the day, David will at least be happy playing in a competitive league with a big team and fighting for his spot in the WC 2010.

Somehow, I doubt it is that easy.

David had his chance to play at Milan before. He chose the Galaxy. If he weasels out now, I will have lost whatever respect I ever had for him.

well johonna, its suppose to be the other way around, i guess. when he went to L.A it was for the money, then many people lost their respect to him. i just considered it a smart move financially. but now, he wants to continue enjoying playing with Milan, even if it means he’ll get less money.

Reports are now claiming David is sending his lawyers to figure out how to get out of the Galaxy deal.

and Galliani continues to stress how Milan only “wishes” to keep Becks.

I dont respect him because obviously he could not be bothered to actually play for the Galaxy. Instead he phoned it in.

    Deplorable.

Becks said that part of his desire to come to the USA was to raise the level of football and bring it up a level in PR…..if he were to leave under these shady circumstances, it would be an insult to the league and especially to the fans. I’m a Becks fan and support his desire to represent his country but come on, do it with some class and honor your commitments. The MLS fans deserve this type of Beckham on the field, because the only versions we have seen in 2 years is the bum leg one and the one with the team who doesn’t defend. The Galaxy have gone out of their way to field a stronger better team for him now. He should play one last season with this new found field determination and then exit your contract. Come on on Becks, have some class!!! you said the loan to Milan was about your fitness, well you have it, so see ya in LA in March. Finish what you started!!!! If not,….then use that huge contract of yours to pay back every fan who bought your damn shirt and was defrauded by your lack of leadership, quality, or inspiration on and off the field.

it is true that Beckham made a promise and a commitment that he now changed his mind and wants to break it. kinda shameful. but….you have to do whats best for you first. he can buy his contract now and comeback in 2011 again for free and “help” the MLS then, not like anything will change.
