Textbook David Beckham

Beckham’s goals versus Real Salt Lake on May 3rd. Two beautiful bending balls into the left upper 90 out of goalkeeper Nick Rimando’s reach.

Each of these goals are up for MLS Goal of the Week. I’m not sure of the exact statistics, but I don’t think I’ve seen one player have two goals nominated in the same week. If anyone has more information on that, please let me know.

These are his bread and butter. Saweet!!

  You said what I couldn’t figure out how to say. Yes, the guy can bend the ball, but that was an insane amount of curve AND pace.
